Your perspective

Starting my Personal Equity Business in your 40s reminds me of my journey losing weight.

You pretty much have a good general idea of what you should do to lose weight:

And the burn fat get shredded advice?

It’s everywhere:

All that—available instantly within a few clicks.

And mostly for free.

Which logically should mean: losing weight should is easy, right?

But reality says otherwise:

According to the Health Survey for England:

Despite all the tools…

Despite all the tech…

Despite having more knowledge than ever before—the vast majority of 40 year olds are getting fatter.

Sicker.

And more stuck.

At an alarming rate.

Why is that?

In today's Issue #3 of Meaning Money and Mastery, we'll explore the most important thing you will need in order to start and then keep at it. I'll help you explain how I manged to start and how I manage to stick to the plan.

So what’s the problem?

Nothing in this world can take the place of good old persistence.

Talent won’t. Nothing is more common than talented men who never amounted to anything.

Genius won’t. Unrecognized genius is practically a cliché.

Education won’t. The world is full of educated fools.

Persistence and determination alone are all-powerful.

Show me a person who’ll keep coming back after being told no time after time… who’ll keep getting up off the canvas after getting knocked down again and again… that’s the person who will win.

The key to success is being that person. The last man standing.

Now, the question is:

Do you have it in you?

Do you have that kind of persistence?

That kind of determination?

That kind of grit?”

If you do, there is nothing that will stop you.

Success is not talent.

Not genius.

Not education.

It’s attitudes of mind.

Starting anything that leads to personal growth (business included) can be lonely as fuck.

Because it starts with you.

Betting on yourself.

And adapting a new identity.

If you want to give up cigarettes you think like a non-smoker, act like a non-smoker and look like a non-smoker.

If you want to be healthy and fit, you have to become an athlete.

If you want to be trader precious metals, you have to become a trader.

That's because it requires adapting a new identity.

And a new identity isn't created in a week or two.

And adapting a new identity doesn't start with a BIG business idea.

And setting off on a journey which is more like misssion or a quest.

Which is more like a mission.

Or a quest.

The starting point is where you are right now.

Finish line is B.

In theory going from A to be might seem very straightforward.

But that's when you're looking at a map.

In reality, you will have to climb, swim, parachute, omit obstacles, fight wankers and run away from fuckers trying to rob you.

Identity that can be misunderstood by others.

Or even worse: you mum, your friends, your peers, your neighbours – they won't fucking get you.

And you will be pulled. And tempted. And dragged.

Back to your old routines.

Your old habits.

And to get through and get more perspective you will have to go through a quest, a journey of change. And it will get better with time.

And that is when your personal growth happens.

through blood sweat and suffering.

And that's also difficult because you have been programmed in a certain way. That phase where you go through "un-programming yourself" and turning into a new person will be the most difficult one thing you have ever done.

But once done, fucking hell – you will never want to go back.

But there are no guarantees, you will have to believe in yourself that you make it and ytou will need to push – especially at the beginning.

The more little winds you get, the more traction the more motion you will get and it will get easier.

But through out this first process, Personal Equity Business model builds you leverage (people sign up. people resonate, people connect with you)

But how?

Because you - despite tthe fact that you are super unique (example: chances that you were born in this universe are....) no matter how unique, weird, you are, someonewhere on the other side of the globe (street, district) there is that another person that shares a similar interest, similar fear, is good or bad at the same thing etc. There are at least 1, 2 or more things that they have in common with you.

in the old days you would not be able to reach that person and resonate with them but now thanks to the internet you can.

So the idea here is to be like Rocky – start at nothing, train, be authentic, and through the struggle and being yourself, and while you're walking and climing to drag people on the journey with you. And these people will go with you if you help them resolve their problems – the same problems that you and them share.

As you move through the forrest, you send signals, that signals can be heard in different ways or noticed by people (example: various social media post and content compared to ways of calling for help in forest ) It's your journey and by sharing your journey you inspire others to go with you. Cimb the same fucking mountain, but each of you – and your readers (people going with you) will climb their own mountain folloing their own routes. You share your path, they take what's useful and apply these things, tools and tactics to make their path easier.

It's an exchange of value. At scale. Because you connect with more and more people. And some of the things that you share with them might occur so valuable that they will be willin to give you money for that.

E.g. me on my path – I need a tool:

Adding some other people's tools to expand my own knowledge and toolset. Once I have climbed enough, gained much more experience and perspective and learned enough, i will be able to share my own tools and experiences and knowledge and package them and sell to others on similar journey as me, but a bit behind. Or slightly different journey.
